Yeah thats right, I use the "e" with the little mark above it, because I care about ACCURACY

So I got something thats probably going to have cease and desist letters thrown at it from every direction any minute now so I gotta move fast if I want to talk about this. Hey, hey you.
 Yeah you. Do you like...Pokémon?
Good. Time for pocket monsters then. What I got for you today is Pokémon SHOWDOWN (which is still in beta). The main site says that "Pokémon Showdown is a Pokémon battle simulator. Play Pokémon battles online! Play with randomly generated teams, or build your own! Fully animated!" That's right. Most of the Pokémon that currently exist, which is probably in the thousands by now (remember when there was 151? way to fix what wasn't broken Nintendo), along with all the new mechanics that have been added, with online play, from your computer, no 3DS needed.
I know for SOME of you this is exactly what you've been waiting for
With multiple servers up, there are plenty of players to challenge, so build your team and jump right in. The game is in beta still so obviously there will be kinks still in the system to be worked out and Pokémon that haven't been added yet, so keep that in mind.
So when your entire team turns inside out, don't get too mad
If you like Pokémon at all, then obviously this is for you. You can jump into Pokémon SHOWDOWN beta from the browser, or download it right here, so go build a team of six magikarp and tear shit up before the lawyers ruin the party.

Prison Commander

Today, we’re going to step back through the misty curtain of time (or take a delorean) back to the year 1987, the time of Predator and Spaceballs to check out a game that sold forty thousand copies in its first year and was ported to eight different platforms. For its time that was kind of a big deal. That game is DUNGEON MASTER.
"You drew the short straw, so you have to carry the candlestick"
Dungeon Master is a grid based action RPG that takes place in a horrible death pit of a dungeon, full of traps and evil creatures out to kill you. At the start of the game you choose four characters from the twenty four available, all with their own stats and starting equipment, and different ranks in fighter, ninja, priest, and wizard. With your dream team chosen, you have to arrange them in the two by two formation that the game works with, since if your characters get attacked by something, the side they are getting attacked from determines which two characters are getting hurt.
Of course there's only one guy your party REALLY needs
Not only do you need to worry about the usual dungeon crawling terrors such as the undead and spiders, but you also need to keep in mind the last time your characters ate or drank, as each character has a hunger and thirst bar and if you get stuck or waste time, starvation and dehydration can become a real problem, thankfully food can be found in the dungeon, and you can use a water skin that you can refill at fountains.

See this guy? Wasn't prepared
The effort that went into making this game playable is dedicated to say the least, and it was worth it, given that the game is playable on Windows, Mac, Pocket PC, Linux, and MacOSX because of it. Even better, Paul R. Stevens (the guy who did all the work) didn’t just make it so you could play Dungeon Master, he did Chaos Strikes Back as well, the expansion to Dungeon Master. Chaos Strikes Back has 24 new characters to choose from, some of which are hidden! It was possible to import characters to Chaos Strikes Back from Dungeon Master in the original game, though I am not entirely sure if that’s possible with this recoded version of the game. Even so, those games are still considered to this day the best among all of the clones that were made in its wake. So go, form your party, descend into the depths and go punch mummies in the face
C'mon, bring it!
You can get Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back here

Cereal Journey

Got something different for you this time! it’s the combination of a cereal, and a video game, bet your cant picture that, can you?
Sure I can!
What? No! Why was that even a thing? Anyway that’s not what I meant. What I’m talking about is the game “CHEX QUEST”
Hell yeah! THE 90s!
Chex Quest is a total conversion of the game DOOM that was given away in boxes of Chex cereal. It was actually a pretty successful marketing idea, considering corporate sales had a major increase in the year when they had the promotion. For those who don’t know, a total conversion is when you take a game and change everything except the most basic framework of the game. Though vastly different in terms of art and tone, the gameplay is the same, and the enemies and weapons are reskins of the DOOM originals
MARS BASE! DEMONS! GRRR!
ALTERNATE DIMENSION! SNOT MONSTERS! CHEEEEEEEEEX!
The game itself is actually rather easy for the first two parts that were made during the original run of the promotion. The game was likely meant for kids given the cartoon art used in the game, and the fact that you don’t actually kill anything in the game, the guns you use are actually hand held teleporters used to send the “Flemoids” (yes, they went all out) back to their home dimension. Its all very kid friendly. The third part however was made years later by two members of the original programming team, adding new enemies, environments, and a notably increase in difficulty, making it the most “official“ out of all the fan made endings out there on the internet.
You could probably make a drinking game about all the advertisement in this game
Though easy, technically simple, and jam packed to the brim with adds to Chex, Chex Quest is a nostalgic throw back to classic shooters with secret rooms, colored keys, and levels big enough that you can get lost in. The kind of thing they don’t make anymore, favoring shooters with a more mainstream appeal.
SO REAL
Clearly superior. Ok I’m going to stop now before I get too opinionated.
